The University of Innsbruck is seeking a University (Full) Professor in Physical Geography at the Faculty of Geo- and Atmospheric Sciences, situated in Innsbruck, Austria. 

The research focus should be on geomorphic dynamics applying innovative system- and data-based theories and methods for geodata acquisition, analyses, and modelling in mountain areas. Therefore, the candidate should have expertise in two or more of the following: monitoring, analysis (including remote sensing techniques); and (numerical) modelling of processes; each of these fields should consider multi- and trans-scalar approaches; as well as in potential future process changes due to climate change and human activities; or the development and integration of new methods of data acquisition and analysis. The profile of the Department of Geography in Physical Geography is to be complemented and strengthened by means of an inter- and transdisciplinary research approach.
